Kate Gosselin ‘sad and lonely’ claims source
In her extended and largely inexplicable time as a celebrity Kate Gosselin has seemed like the life of a party while on camera. But a close friend claims that’s just a mask;“The truth is Kate is really sad and lonely, with few true friends,” the insider says.
When the 35-year old multiplex-mommy is not filming she’s often seen at the nail spa or the tanning salon, or even traveling to New York to get her hair done. Kate also has a strict regime of regular jogging to stay in condition. But that’s still not enough, so we’re told.
“Even her kids have noticed that mom won’t play when the cameras aren’t rolling,” the source tells Radar. Her bodyguard, Steve Neild is closest to her, but he’s married. Apart from Steve she doesn’t have many friends to confide in, and she doesn’t have a great relationship with her family either.”
And while they’re not exactly fetching pitchforks and torches [yet,] even the neighbors avoid her;
“They don’t think greatly of her and she’s not popular at the local stores because she comes across as cold and aloof,” the snitch oozes. “Kate finds it hard to be friendly and is very domineering – she’s also obsessed with appearance.”
But the source still tries to claim it’s not poor Katie’s fault;
“Kate’s life revolves around her kids and the show. And the paparazzi are camped outside her house a lot, so she won’t go out much, which is sad. Having her own show has come at a price, but it was her own choice.”
In the three years and seven months since ‘Jon & Kate+8′ debuted the former nurse has seen her marriage collapse, endured rumors of an affair, and seen three of her kids get expelled from their school. But she continues to insist it’s ‘financially necessary’ to go on making shows.
Meanwhile, Jon has enjoyed several affairs, is seen in public a lot, and is now dating Ellen Ross and could soon re-marry.
Somewhere in there is a lesson for Kate. What do you suppose it might be?…

Real Housewives’ Kim Zolciak heralds engagement…and baby
In news that should surprise almost no-one it’s been announced that ‘Real Housewives Of Atlanta’ alumnus Kim Zolciak is engaged to the Atlanta Falcons’ defensive end, Kroy Biermann. And she’s pregnant.
“Kim and Kroy are engaged, but only a few people know,” a friend tells Radar. “Obviously, they’re really happy about the baby and their engagement and can’t wait to start their lives together.”
32-year old Kim is now in her second trimester and the pair plan to marry before the baby arrives. But the source is not yet done sharing;“Kroy bought her a substantial ring, although she’s not wearing it in public yet. They’re also in talks for a reality show. If that doesn’t happen she’ll re-negotiate for ‘Real Housewives’ if her wedding and baby were to be seen on the show.”
But not everyone seems pleased by the news;
“The other wives are backing them publicly, but privately they’re jealous because Kim’s in the spotlight and not everyone’s happy about that,” says the snitch.
News of the baby broke in early October when an ex-boyfriend told a far less fabulous blog. This brought Kim weeks of attention, during which she neither confirmed or denied her condition. Last week she finally said it was true, and how the weeks of attention ‘upset’ her.
“I was appalled and disgusted by that,” she claimed. “I wasn’t through my first trimester – you never know what could happen. And while it [the baby] wasn’t planned, God clearly has bigger plans for us. We’re excited!”
There’s no date for the wedding or delivery yet, but once Zolciak Jr. arrives he or she will join Kim’s two daughters [aged 13 and 9] from a previous marriage. We’ll keep you updated if any new leaks arrive….
Johnny Depp says Disney execs hated ‘gay’ Captain Sparrow
The three ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ movies so far released have earned Disney more than $2.7-billion worldwide. But Johnny Depp say those in charge at the mouse-house had their doubts about Captain Jack Sparrow.
“They couldn’t stand him. They just couldn’t stand him,” Depp tells Vanity Fair. “Michael Eisner, the head of Disney at the time, was even quoted as saying, ‘He’s ruining the movie!’”
Some of the Disney suits even asked Johnny if Jack had ‘issues.’
“I had Disney-ites going, ‘What’s wrong with him? Is he some kind of weird simpleton?…By the way, is he gay?” Johnny recalls, grinning. “So I actually told one woman, ‘But didn’t you know, all my characters are gay?’…Which really made her nervous.”
Away from the ocean Johnny is also enthused by his upcoming role in ‘The Tourist,’ where he plays an American traveling through Italy who gets used by an English woman to find a man with whom she had an affair.“Meeting her and getting to know her was a real pleasant surprise,” he recalls. “You don’t know what she might be like; if she has any sense of humor. I was so pleased to find she’s incredibly normal and has a wonderful, perverse sense of humor.”
But when two major stars are away from their partners, anything can happen – or so the paparazzi were hoping. And Johnny clearly felt Angie’s pain;
“Poor thing, dogged by paparazzi, her and Brad…and their kids,” Depp tells the mag. “There are times when you see how ridiculous this life is – you know, leaving your house every morning and being followed by paparazzi.”
And the pair had to adopt some strange ways to avoid speculation, which included;
“Having to hide, sometimes not even being able to talk to each other in public because someone will take a photograph and it will get misconstrued,” he recalls with clear regret.
He later discovered Angie shares his passion for The Monkees’ 1967 hit, ‘Daydream Believer,’ which reminds Johnny of the career he so nearly had;
“Acting was an odd deviation from a road I was on in my late teens, because I had no interest in it at all,” he tells the scribes. “I was a musician, and that’s what I wanted to do.”
And aren’t you all glad he didn’t?
But with his true calling now clear there are still things the swarthy 47-year old longs to accomplish.
“Marlon Brando once told me. ‘Go and work on Hamlet and play that part. Play that before you’re too old.’ So what he was trying to tell me was: ‘play the part, man – before you’re too long in the tooth. And I’d like to. I’d really, really like to.”
Mel Gibson played it in 1990 and got an Oscar nomination. So who’d like to see Johnny in tight pantyhose?
