Wife orders Tiger Woods to quit golf?

As the storm over Tiger Woods’ sexual exploits continues – mostly fueled by the fact that the women concerned can’t resist making money – Tiger’s staff were spied preparing his boat for a voyage, fueling rumors that the cause of this tabloid tsunami is finally about to emerge.

Having covered the nameplate in a futile attempt to disguise the $22-million, 155-foot luxury cruiser, ironically named ‘Privacy,’ Tiger’s staff spent several hours at the Palm Beach marina preparing the triple-decked boat for a voyage.

And this fuels speculation that Tiger is trying to make peace with his wife, Elin Nordegren by taking her and the kids on a cruise.

Known to be fond of such luxurious transport, Elin once called the boat, “a private respite for our family to relax and escape the rigors of my husband’s celebrity”.

Meanwhile, The Sun is reporting that Tiger may even quit golf altogether in a desperate bid to keep Elin around. She has vowed to stay in the marriage ‘for the sake of the children,’ but has given her husband a blunt ultimatum: “It’s golf, or me!”

“Tiger will have to work hard to get her to trust him again. Quitting golf would show he is willing to sacrifice something he loves to protect his family,” said a family friend.

Elin, who could score as much as $100-million if the pair were divorced is said to have made a list of rules for the world’s Number One golfer to follow if he wants to keep her – including that he puts her and the children [daughter Sam, aged 2, and ten-month-old Charlie] before his career if the marriage is going to survive.

“They have agreed to try and rebuild their marriage, but Elin will be the one calling the shots. It will be a long time before he’s traveling the globe playing golf unless Elin’s by his side.” says the insider.

And the odds that all the marina activity points to Tiger’s imminent reappearance grew stronger late Thursday when his mother, Kultida hopped a flight from LAX airport to Atlanta, Georgia to be nearer her son.

Cause of Tiger Woods crash centers around domestic argument

As you likely know by now, Tiger Woods was injured in a car crash outside his home in Florida. Woods, backed out of his home at 2:25 a.m. Friday, and hit a fire hydrant and a tree with his 2009 Cadillac sports utility vehicle. Leaving your home at that time of night and plowing into objects allegedly hard enough to injure yourself (he suffered facial injuries), raises suspicions and leaves a few obvious scenarios. You are under the influence of something (authorities ruled out alcohol), or your in a big rush and perhaps in emotional stress. The later seems to be exactly what happened. According to TMZ, both Tiger and his wife Elin Nordegren, individually made statements to the police that they were having an argument at the time of the accident. The old husband storms out of house in a huff and backs into a fire hydrant scenario. While speculating on why they were arguing at that time of night will be the topic of the day tomorrow, one scenario will be played up for sure. As we reported yesterday, the National Enquirer broke a story that Tiger is having a secret affair. That could certainly be a cause for late night domestic argument.




It’s now been reported by Windermere police chief Daniel Saylor, that officers found Tiger laying in the street with his wife, Elin, hovering over him.



She told officers she was in the house when she heard the accident and “came out and broke the back window with a golf club.” Woods had lacerations to his upper and lower lips, and he had blood in his mouth, Saylor said.

You think she heard the accident and the first thing she does is grab a golf club before she came out? How about they had a knockdown drag out fight, he tries to leave in SUV, with Elin in pursuit and when he doesn’t stop, she start swinging golf club at back window and he crashes into fire hydrant? Just saying we’re probably never gonna know what really happened.

Tiger Woods injured in late night car crash

Details are just coming in, but early reports are that Tiger Woods was injured in a car crash near his home in Florida, in a single car accident. While some media outlets are reporting the champion golfer to have been seriously hurt in the accident, his agent has told USA TODAY that the golf superstar is fine. The Florida Highway Patrol did report that Woods, hit the hydrant and a tree after pulling out of his driveway in his 2009 Cadillac sports utility vehicle. The patrol reported his injuries as serious, and that he was taken to Health Central Hospital, so we’ll have to wait to see what the real extent of his injuries are. The accident occurred at 2:25 a.m. Friday, but supposedly no alcohol was involved. Backing out of your car at that time of night and plowing into objects allegedly hard enough to injure yourself seems a little strange. However The Orlando Sentinel quoted the Florida Highway Patrol as saying he vehicle speed was under 33 mph., but the airbags in Woods’ Cadillac Escalade did not deploy.

Update: Tiger suffered facial injuries and has been released from the hospital. Authorities say “charges were pending”.

I had to laugh though and wonder how my local newspaper feels today, about publishing the frontpage headline, “Tiger Rescued By Wife.” As I surmised last night and seems to be gaining more credence is the headline probably should read, “Tiger Got His Ass Kicked By Elin”. I don’t want to take too much delight in calling this, which I did here, because actually I am deeply saddened that Tiger’s image is likely to be badly tarnished and more than likely his marriage is in serious doubt too. But let’s face the facts, people don’t go backing out of their home’s at 2:25 a.m. Friday, and hit a fire hydrant and a tree with his 2009 Cadillac sports utility vehicle without something going on. Wives (even Tiger’s) don’t go running out of their homes carry a golf club when they hear their husbands crash and smash the back windows to rescue them. Especially when they already admitted to having a domestic fight beforehand. What was the fight about? As we reported on Thursday, the National Enquirer broke a story that Tiger is having a secret affair. TMZ is now reporting, Elin confronted him about reports that he was seeing another woman as we already speculated. The argument got heated and, according to their source, she scratched his face up. Tiger tried to beat a hasty retreat with Elin in hot pursuit with a golf club. Using a golfing analogy, Tiger’s drive went astray when Elin repeatedly swung her trusty club at the vehicle. Hey golfers are notorious for getting spooked easily when driving. Okay not funny, but you get the point of what likely caused the crash and what an embarrassing situation this is.
