Katy Perry finally tells truth over ‘pregnancy’ claims
With the torrent of attention and gossip caused by the story now dying down, Katy Perry has decided to poke at the embers, and thus a new burst of attention by finally admitting she’s not expecting a child.Two weeks after getting engaged to British comedian, Russell Brand, and almost a week after the baby news ‘leaked’ Perry, 25, finally told her fans the truth via Twitter last night.
Admitting she’d swapped an ego trip for her menstrual cycle, her confession was tasteless but brief;
“Better luck next month, peepz!” she sniggered.
The now [finally] dis-proven rumors of motherhood sprang up last Sunday when the pair were spied browsing the booties at a baby-wear store in North London. And Perry did nothing to stop them; Even using the same Twitter account to encourage the lies, claiming she was planning a ‘bumpin 2010,’ and other infantile bait.
The odd couple got engaged just before New Year’s. Russell, 34, presented Katy with a Cartier ring while they were sightseeing in London;
“Russell knows Katy’s the one,” says a source. “He’s never been into a girl like he is with her. He asked her to marry him and she quickly said yes.”
But although Santa Barbara-born Perry agreed to the marriage, she rejected the ring, asking Russell to create something ‘different’…More expensive, perhaps?
“Russ searched for a designer to make a new ring after they discussed what they wanted,” the snitch told Parade.
So, she lied to the press, teased and lied to her fans, and even her fiancee’s ring was not up to par…And she still thinks she’s worthy of fame.

We reported before that Katie Perry and Russell Brand were getting into each other….in numerous ways…and it seems once again we’re proved right…
The pair started rumors last month when they got rather close at the ‘MTV Music Awards,’ which Russell was hosting. They were then spied locking lips – many times – at Lady Gaga’s after-show party, and it now seems they flew off for a long break in Thailand – alone.
“When they were in New York for the awards Russell got his chance to charm her,” a close friend of Katy’s told Pop Crunch. “She knows his reputation but couldn’t resist – especially when he sent her a love poem.”
Russell, 34, had asked for one back, so Katy sent him a shot of her boobs, with the word ‘Poem’ written across them. This appealed to his famously juvenile sense of humor and he invited Katy to Thailand to get more acquainted.
Friends have repeatedly warned the 24-year old singer about Brand’s lack of commitment, but she does not seem to care. “Katy just thinks Russell is charming so she wants to give this a go.” says one friend. “She thinks he’s hilarious and incredibly sexy.”

Katy Perry in skimpy bikini after clothes seized by Turkish customs
Katy Perry looks a delight as she relaxes on holiday in Turkey - even though her stage outfits have been held at the airport by officials.
The I Kissed A Girl star was pictured showing off her enviable figure in a turquouse bikini by the pool.
However, when it comes to wearing her outlandish onstage fashions as she continues on her world tour, she's out of luck at the moment.
Posting on her official Twitter page a few hours back, she said: "My glittery new outfits r stuck @ customs in Turkey. They won't release them! My biggest nightmare is coming true. Wearing an outfit twice!"
Let's hope the Turkish officials release her stage clothing soon - she's due to play the T In The Park festival near Kinross in Scotland tomorrow and we don't want her worrying about duplicating dresses.
