As I am not 14, I am not a huge Miley Cyrus fan. However, I find myself wanting to step in for her defense after a couple of bikini pictures started circulating online. A lot of sources have been showing off pics of the young megastar’s new tattoo, saying that it is proof of her desperation to leave the ‘good Disney girl’ image behind.Normally, I could get behind a statement like this. After all, her bizarre pole dance at the Kid’s Choice Awards, and her topless Vanity Fair pictures seem to speak for themselves.But the tattoo doesn’t fit in with the accusation. You see, there is a meaning behind it.The new tattoo is along the starlett’s ribcage, and says ‘Just Breath’. This is the slogan for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a foundation she has shown support for in the past.Miley’s close friend, Vanessa, passed away three years ago from the condition.Cystic fibrosis is a devastating chronic disease often found in children. It causes mucus and other blockages to build within the lungs and digestive tract. It is a painful condition that often leads to early death in infants, children, and young adults.
