Teri Hatcher is one and done on Desperate Housewives?

Teri Hatcher who has played ditsy mother Susan Mayer for seven years on Desperate Housewives has reportedly told colleagues at ABC that the next season will be her last. A source tells  The Daily Mail that Teri already has a new TV pilot lined up and wants to focus all her time on that:
“She has another production deal in the pipeline and she is in the early stages of developing a sitcom that she wants to start work on immediately after she finishes Desperate Housewives – she wants a new show in time for the mid-January pilot season. Some of the crew are disappointed in Teri, they feel like she is abandoning the show that revived her career.”
The Mail gives no reason why but says, Felicity Huffman is following Teri towards the exit door after next season.  Desperate Housewives’s creator Marc Cherry, had planned to keep the show going for two more seasons, but next season would likely be the last if Teri and Felicity both leave.

Teri Hatcher Swimsuit Photos for Charity Triathalon

46 year-old actress Teri Hatcher has posted swimsuit photos of herself on her Facebook page with a sign saying “Sophia this one’s for you”.  The Desperate Housewives star is competing in the  Malibu triathlon for charity this weekend, in order to raise money for a young patient at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. She became involved in this cause when the young girl’s father from Joel Rothman, contacted her through a letter. Sophia, 2, was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and another related disease that could have caused her to go blind.

Teri wrote:
“This is the charity benefiting from the coming Sunday’s Malibu Triathlon in which I am tackling the swim portion of a Tri- Team including myself, Mr. Bob Iger and Julie Bowen.’So after checking the water forecast, I now know that when I dive into the 60 degree shoreline at 7am for a purely adrenaline based swim, they’ll be one beautiful girl to reach stroke after stroke for. And that’s Sophia. Please tell your friends to donate. Even one dollar,” the actress added.
