Jared Fogle, the Subway commercial spokesman who famously lost 245 lbs. by eating Subway sandwiches, has gained a fiancee. He popped the question to his girlfriend of a year, Katie McLaughlin, 30, a teacher, in November.“She’s been so wonderful and caring. She’s just been the most supportive woman,” says Fogle, who proposed near the campus of Indiana University, the couple’s alma mater. “I couldn’t ask for more.”
I saw photos of Jared going through an airport recently and he had obviously put on a lot of weight again. Fogle tells People he put on more than 40 lbs., but plans to get back into shape with more exercise and a more disciplined 2,000-calorie-a-day diet for the wedding planned for this summer saying:
“I’m going to look darn good in those wedding pictures!”
This will be the second marriage for Fogle, 32.
