Kate Gosselin to star in new dating show?

In news that should make you wish someone would drop a large, sparkly New Year’s ball directly on her, word is arriving that Kate Gosselin has a new dating show in the works. Born, Katie Irene Kreider on March 28, 1975, the newly single Ms. Gosselin [or should that now be Kreider?]  is deep in discussions with a [so far un-named] network to star in a reality show, designed to find someone dumb enough to stand in for Jon.“Love her or hate her, people are fascinated by Kate!” a clueless TV exec has told Popeater. “She has a lot of mouths to feed and Katie looking for love will certainly put bread on the table,” he oozed. But before you climb out on that ledge in relentless despair, we have good news – This slack-brained decision to inflict more of Ms. Gosselin and that ‘Rooster’s butt’ hairdo on an innocent world is not final yet;“It’s still in the development stage,” says a clued-in insider.…And if there’s one grain of humanity left in this world, that’s right where this freak-show will stay.But in case a network is dumb enough to make this show real, they’ll need some titles. How about, ‘Multiple Mommy + Dim-witted Dad,’ or ‘The Broody Bunch,’ or maybe ‘Kate + An IQ of 8′…Or, as it’s Kate, they could do it at sea and call it ‘The Love Goat.’Let’s hear your suggestions – it might help ease the pain…

Kate and Jon Gosselin Officially Divorced

A judge has officially ended Jon and Kate Gosselin’s 10-year marriage, as the couple’s divorce  was just finalized.  Details will be coming out likely in buckets but we do hear, Kate is “thrilled” with the settlement she is receiving, and according to TMZ, will continue to reside with all eight of her children in the former marital home. Things all around look a lot rosier for Kate than Jon right now. The mother of eight recently made Barbara Walter’s 10 Most Fascinating People list of 2009 and is reportedly working on pitching a new reality show. Meanwhile Jon is being sued by TLC network for breach of contract, while a former lawyer is going after him for non-payment of fees.  TMZ claims that Jon is in immediate financial trouble now that the divorce is final, because he got nailed with huge child support payments said to be somewhere in the five figure range and because of the lawsuit with Bravo has no real way of payingv

You know we can’t go more than a day without posting some juicy Jon and Kate news, and today we got some new deets about the last episode of their TLC show, and the status of their divorce.
First of all, the show.
The last episode will apparently show the two taking their eight kids on separate day outings. Jon has selected a firehouse next to their home, while Kate has chosen to take the kids to a dairy farm.
Has neither of them heard of the zoo?
Anyway, the show wil end with a ‘heartfelt’ montage with the two of them speaking about the experience of the past, and what might be coming in the future.

Sounds like the perfect end-of-series cheesefest to me.
As for the divorce:
According to sources, the day started a little shakily with Jon showing up to court with a bunch of roses, which Kate rejected.
However, arbitration went well. They have settled on a number of issues, and the second day of arbitration was canceled.
The ruling is set to be made within the month, which means the couple may be able to make a clean break by the new year, and start fresh.
Now, if only Kate could pull the stick from her ass, and Jon could stop being so greasy and sleazy, they might come out of this as better people.
