asting Russell Crowe in a historical tale always seems like a great idea. Combine that with Ridley Scott , who worked with Crowe in “Gladiator, and Brian Helgeland (”L.A. Confidential,” “Mystic River”), doing the script and you’ll understand the excitement to see the first trailer for “Robin Hood.” With Crowe starring as the legendary archer , Cate Blanchett as Maid Marian, Danny Huston as King Richard and William Hurt as the Earl of Pembroke, this new take on the classic story promises a darker, somewhat more violent look at the legend. The film is scheduled to be released May 14, 2010.
