One day you receive a docx or xlsx files or download them from internet. When you open, you can not see it and you think this file is corrupt. May be because you use old version of MS Office (2003/XP)
You have some choice :
1. Ask your friend who has Office 2007 or latest Office convert for you.
2. Install a latest Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack help you convert file to .doc or .xls
3. Use Google Docs ( you can create a new account if you do not have google account) Upload docx or xlsx file , open it on google docs. If you want save as .doc or .xls compatible with Office 2003, on google docs you go to File ->Download as -> Word or Excel. This tip I found when I have same problem and want to share with you, my best friends.
