You may recall that Burky was ordered by a judge last year to stay 100 yards away from the Alias star’s family for the next three years, as well as being prohibited from contacting Garner in any way. Garner claimed in court papers Burky had been stalking her since 2002, and was “following me around the country” and that “his obsessive and harassing behavior has escalated to the point of becoming dangerous and threatening.” According to documents filed at the time, the stalking intensified last year, prompting her to seek help from the courts.
“He has now shown up at my private residence and has repeatedly expressed his belief that God has sent him a vision of me being persecuted in some manner that might result in my death.”
Unfortunately this apparently unbalanced man remains undeterred, so I hope but am not overly optimistic that the courts will take much stronger action after Monday’s incident.
