Dennis Hopper’s wife reportedly incensed by divorce

We recently reported that Hollywood stalwart, Dennis Hopper, while in the midst of a battle with cancer he may soon concede, is frantically working to divorce his fifth wife, Victoria Duffy, before that battle is over.
Well, new information shows he may have ample cause:
A longtime friend says Dennis is angry about Victoria’s alleged plans to get rich from his will – despite having already been given a free ranch, a collection of expensive artworks and closets filled to the brim with designer gowns.
“Dennis told me, ‘I’ve worked so hard to give Victoria everything she wanted, but it only fueled her appetite for more luxury,’ ” the friend told the Post.
Now the 73-year old actor, currently suffering advanced prostate cancer, is said to be valiantly trying to forestall his death until the divorce is made final and he knows he can rest.
Under the terms of his current will, Victoria, 41, [seen here] would receive one-quarter of his estate – exactly what she agreed to in their prenup. But insiders say she really wanted far more, and is also fuming that she was not named as Executor of the will.
Why? Well, one reason might be she can’t just change the numbers to suit her once Dennis is gone.
His children, Marin, Henry and Ruthiana are now with their dad. So is his first wife, Brooke Hayward. But not Vicky – she’s been banned from his bedside;
“I wish Victoria the best, but I only want to spend these difficult days surrounded by my children and close friends,” Hopper said in a statement issued yesterday.
Victoria has therefore remained in frustrated seclusion at the couple’s home in Venice, an upscale neighborhood of Los Angeles. Their marriage is known to have been stormy for years, but her friends are now leaking claims to the press that Vicky’s a victim, because Dennis is too spaced-out on meds to be making good choices;
“He’s mentally incapacitated from the enormous amounts of medication he’s on,” one enabler said. “It’s truly a tragedy. And it’s all about the money – this is about getting Victoria out of the will. Nothing more, nothing less.”
Meanwhile, people who actually care about Dennis say there’s not one thing wrong with his mental state.
The saga continues – we’ll keep you advised…
