According to The UK Sun, Megan Fox has signed up to play Catwoman in the next “Batman” movie. Supposedly the “Transformers” star will follow in the more recent footsteps of Michelle Pfeifer and Halle Berry in donning the skintight catsuit, but Fox’s portrayal of Selina Kyle will have ‘a darker edge’ according to the tabloid. She certainly has the attitude and the right look for the role.
“All the other stars who have reinvented the Batman films are back on board,” the Sun also reports. “(Including) Christian Bale, Michael Caine, and director Christopher Nolan,” with shooting scheduled to start next year, with the film slated for release in 2011.
Given no sources are mentioned and this isn’t an official announcement by the studio, so one has to take this news with some caution. And if it is true, it doesn’t necessarily mean Catwoman will be one of the feature villains.
