Gallagher Brother Fight Splits Oasis (again)

The fighting Gallagher brothers were at it again apparently having another go at each other.  Lead guitarist Noel Gallagher announced he had left the band in a short statement on their website (oasisinet.com) last night, blaming his cantankerous relationship with brother Liam for his decision.

He said: “It’s with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.

“Apologies to all the people who bought tickets for the shows in Paris, Konstanz and Milan.”

It has been reported the brothers had a fist fight shortly before they were to take to the stage to play Paris’ Rock en Seine festival yesterday, resulting in Noel calling it quits.

Oasis formed in 1991 and was one of the biggest British bands of the 1990s, with hits like “Wonderwall” and “Champagne Supernova.”
