Natalie Portman signs-on for swans and hot sex

Previously linked to troubled actor Sean Penn, Natalie Portman is now set to create quite a buzz on her own. Her upcoming movie features lesbian sex. Billed as a ‘psychological thriller,’ the movie, ‘Black Swan,’ concerns a ballerina in one of New York’s top ballet companies. Seemingly sweet, inside, Nina [Portman] seethes with a passion for balletic success. Her best friend, Beth, always won the lead roles, but she’s ready to leave – and Nina’s now desperate to take her friend’s place. Nina’s dance company is rehearsing Tchaikovsky’s ‘Swan Lake,’ and if Beth did retire, Nina would land the lead as ‘Odette’ – the Queen of the Swans. But the role demands both sweetness and cunning, and Nina’s not sure she’s up for the task. Their Director believes she can do it – or so he says. But he gives her the role, and that’s when  her troubles begin.

While preparing for her major new role, Nina sees a strange girl around town. And at the theater. She looks just like Nina – but when Nina approaches, the girl disappears. They finally meet at rehearsal and soon become friends. And even though Nina tries to resist the friendship soon deepens, and the two girls make love. And if the script has this right, this is not some soft-focus samba – We’re talking hot, hungry coupling that has every neighbor for six blocks banging your door down in green-eyed despair, until they give up their onslaught and call 911. Then things get strange… While Nina is dedicated, Lilly’s carefree. And the Director keeps giving Nina’s new lover the much larger roles. The two friends also go drinking one night, and next morning a hung-0ver Nina finds Lily rehearsing her part.

Is Lily plotting a coup, or has Nina gone mad? And Nina’s anguish is not helped at all when the Director attempts to seduce her and she’s basically raped. Natalie, 28, shares the screen with Mila Kunis, and the 26-year old Russian is tight-lipped on the plot, “We started ballet training a month ago and I have two more months before choreography begins. Then we start production in New York in November,” Kunis told reporters. Written in his usual dark, somber style by Darren Aronofsky [director of Mickey Rourke's 2008 career resurrection, 'The Wrestler,'] the shooting script promises an engaging and challenging movie of class. If he and the ladies can make that come true, you’ll hear more of this movie.
